Interlocking Floor Tiles:
An Inexpensive Solution for Your Bathroom
Interlocking floor tiles have not always been a choice for bathroom flooring. In fact, they first made their debut as an industrial solution. It makes sense that these tiles would soon become a great option for bathroom floor coverings. They are inexpensive, extremely durable, easy to install and great looking to boot.
Interlocking floor tiles have become one of the most popular DIY projects today. These tiles are not only easy to install on your own, but quick and very cost effective as well. With interlocking floor tiles there's no grout needed and no mess. These tiles are very easy to install. Interlocking floor tiles are durable and if you need to, you can repair them in no time without disturbing the surrounding tiles.
One of my favorite interlocking floor tiles is Ezy Tile. EzyTile natural slate, granite and porcelain floor tiles simply snap in place over practically any solid, even surface for a professional finish.
Precision cut natural slate, natural granite and porcelain is bonded to a special interlocking plastic mesh base that allows you to quickly and easily lock the tiles firmly in place without any adhesives or grout..... perfect alignment and precise spacing assured automatically!
These interlocking floor tile look and feel great but there are many other types of interlocking floor tiles too. Most are made from different types of plastics. With that in mind these tiles may not be the ideal flooring solution for your new 300 square foot master bathroom but if you have a more utilitarian need this may just be the fit for you. Imagine a small half-bath just off the mud room between the garage and the kitchen. In this bathroom you don't need glamorous, in fact, the more durable the floor the better.
Another great use for this type of bathroom flooring would be a
basement bathroom or garage bathroom. In these locations the need for a
durable floor material trumps the design element. Couple that with the
quick and efficient installation of these interlocking floor tiles and
you have some real possibility.
Bathroom floors are traditionally fairly difficult to maintain.
Interlocking floor tiles make the job just a little bit easier. Their
design and the different types of materials they are made from make
them resistant to almost anything you can put on them. Have you ever
dropped a glass of red wine or Kool-Aid on a tile floor? have you ever
had stained grout in a very high traffic area? These problems will be
no problem with an interlocking floor tile bathroom floor.
Interlocking floor tiles are not only about convenience and functionality they're also about price as well. Get a bathroom flooring estimates from a local contractor and then get an estimate for a company that offers interlocking floor tiles and you can be sure the interlocking floor tiles will be less expensive. It doesn't matter if it's a small bathroom floor or a 15000 square foot warehouse, the prices you find with interlocking tiles is definitely going to be much cheaper than any other flooring solution!
